REGULATED QUALIFICATION SERVICES

Centre Recognition

Service Description

You must complete a rigorous application process to become recognised as a centre with us.

Recognition status cannot be achieved without applying to become approved to deliver at least one qualification. To mitigate risk, we will only recognise you to deliver a suite of qualifications or six individual qualifications in the first instance. Once you can evidence effective delivery of these qualifications, you will be eligible to extend your portfolio.

Centre recognition and qualification approval statuses are granted, to those that can evidence compliance with the Transcend Centre Recognition Conditions and Qualification Specification Conditions, for each qualification you wish to deliver.

We balance rigour with tailored training, templates and tools. We have a range of policies and practices which can be adopted and adapted.

We reserve the right to reject any provider that does not share our values and reputation for quality.

Step 02:  Engagement - Discuss your unique needs in a virtual meeting so we can tailor our offer

We will grant access to the Transcend Awarding Management System [TAMS] within 3 working days of the meeting

Step 03: Application - Apply for centre recognition and qualification approval adn submit all supporting evidence  via TAMS

We will review your application and all supporting evidence and provide an outcome within 10 working days.

Step 04: Induction - Attend a virtual induction into our policies, procedures and system

We will deliver your induction within 10 working days of confirmation of your status

Step 05: Launch – Provide us with content to welcome you to our recognised centre community.

We will use our social media and digital platforms to welcome you recognised centre community.

Centre recognition extensions

Service Description

You must complete a rigorous application process to extend your centre recognition status to become approved to deliver additional qualifications. Centre recognition extensions are granted to those that can evidence continued compliance with the Transcend Centre Recognition Conditions. You must also evidence compliance with the Qualification Specification Conditions for any new qualifications you wish to deliver.

Centre bookings and learner registrations

Service Description

Recognised centres are required to register learners onto their qualification through the TAMS Booking Form.

Recognised centres are required to register learners within 20 working days of the start date of their course.

Service Level Commitment 

We will validate the learner registrations, confirm registration fees and return the form via TAMS within 5 working days.

Centre Delivery, Assessment and Internal Moderation

Service Description

Recognised centres are required to deliver the qualification in line with their agreed delivery model. 

Recognised centres are required to assess the learners in line with the qualification assessment strategy.

Recognised centres are required to conduct risk-based moderation in line with their internal quality assurance strategy.

Centre Claims, External Moderation and Learner Certification

Service Description

Recognised centres are required to claim learners’ certificates via the original TAMS Booking Form.

 

Service Level Commitment

The learner claims for each recognised centre, qualification and assessor will be pooled to create a sample size. The TAMS external moderation plan will then be submitted to the centre within 10 working days of receipt of the claim.

The plan will include a request the portfolios for a % of the learners in the sample to be submitted for External Moderation. The learner sample will then be selected using a randomised unbiased methodology. The % of learners in the sample will be determined by the key risk indicators outlined in the CASS strategy associated with the qualification, the recognised centre, the qualification approval and the assessor.

The external moderation intervention will take place within 10 working days of receipt of the portfolios. The external moderation intervention will be validated by a senior external moderator. It will then be returned to the recognised centre via TAMS within 10 working days of the external moderation intervention

The recognised centre will provide their feedback on the external moderation results and will submit, Certification claims will then be managed in line the results contained in the external moderation report as follows;

Results agreed will be certificated within 10 working days of receipt of the centres feedback.
Results overturned will be re-submitted to the centre via the TAMS Booking within 10 working days of receipt of the centres feedback.
Where the senior external moderator and/or recognised centre has not agreed with the results this will be managed as a reactive risk.

Where the external moderation report identifies compliance actions or sanction’s the centre will be required to complete the action vias the TAMS action response form in line with the timescale set. We will confirm an outcome to the compliance action response within 10 working days of receipt. Where new compliance actions are set, we will always review the compliance action response within 10 working days of receipt.

This process can take up to 8 weeks to ensure that we moderate prior to certification.

Centre Bookings, Learner Registrations and Reasonable Adjustments

Service Description

Recognised centres are required to conduct an initial assessment submit any TAMS reasonable adjustment requests.

Recognised centres are required to register learners onto their qualification through the TAMS Booking Form.

Recognised centres are required to register learners within 20 working days of the start date of their course.

 

Service Level Commitment

We will validate the learner registrations, confirm registration fees and return the form via TAMS within 5 working days.

We will validate the learners access needs and confirm outcomes to reasonable adjustments requests wihtin 5 working in days

Centre Approval External Moderation on Real Time Assessments

Service Description

Recognised Centres approved for qualifications that contain real time assessment [RTA] will receive risk based external moderation.

 

Service Level Commitment

FOR QUALIFICATIONS ALLOCATED A LOW RISK PROFILE

We will ensure EQA presence and moderation as a minimum to all centres, per qualification per real time assessment.

FOR QUALIFICATIONS ALLOCATED A MEDIUM RISK PROFILE

We will ensure EQA presence and moderation as a minimum to all centres, per qualification per real time assessment.

We will ensure EQA presence and moderation biannually where there are more than 08 courses or 200 learners on a rolling programme.

FOR QUALIFICATIONS ALLOCATED A HIGH-RISK PROFILE

We will ensure EQA presence and moderation as a minimum to all centres, per qualification per real time assessment.

We will ensure EQA presence and moderation every 08 courses or every 200 leaders on a rolling programme in the annual cycle.
