Transcend Level 2 Award in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
This Ofqual-regulated qualification equips learners with essential knowledge to identify, handle and control hazardous substances in compliance with COSHH legislation. It is specifically designed for those supporting children, young people, or vulnerable adults where additional safeguarding and health protection responsibilities apply.
Developed in collaboration with RYNAT, the programme ensures learners understand COSHH risk assessments, appropriate control measures, personal protective equipment (PPE), and hygiene protocols in their working environment.

This suite of Ofqual‑regulated qualifications has been developed with and for RYNAT to support local authorities, schools, activity centres, and operators of playgrounds or specialist facilities. It promotes understanding of legal duties, routine inspection techniques, and operational compliance. Each qualification can be used to train new inspectors or support progression of existing staff through structured, nationally recognised certification.
