This Ofqual‑regulated Level 3 award provides foundational preparation for individuals newly appointed as school governors, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute effectively to a governing board.
Designed to align with the DfE Governance Handbook 2020 and the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework 2019, participants will understand core governance responsibilities and how to drive standards strategically.
Developed in partnership with B11 Education as technical experts, and in collaboration with the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC) Education Department. The qualification has also been informed through consultation with equality experts, schools, and experienced governors. It is endorsed and supported by CBMDC.
Learning is demonstrated through one mandatory unit focused on the core functions of governance. Assessment involves creating a school governance profile and evidence of participation and reflection within governing board meetings.
Transcend Level 3 Certificate for Teaching Assistants Specialising in Physical Education

This Ofqual‑regulated Level 3 certificate is a specialist pathway for Teaching Assistants who aim to support and deliver physical education (PE) to individuals and small groups within school environments.
Developed in collaboration with SPORTIVITY Consultants—industry leaders in progressive PE delivery—and validated through consultation with Omnia Foundation and equality experts, ensuring alignment with national standards.
The module structure comprises six mandatory units—three core Teaching Assistant units plus three PE-specific pathway units—ensuring competence against the national Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants and the National Curriculum for PE.
Successful completion demonstrates ability to support classroom teachers, deliver PE intervention programmes, and design inclusive activities aligned to school strategies and PE curriculum.
This qualification is accessible to any recognised Transcend centre meeting delivery conditions and supports progression to the Level 4 Certificate for Higher-Level Teaching Assistants specialising in PE.

The Transcend Level 3 Diploma in Learning, Development and Social Cohesion is an Ofqual‑regulated personal development qualification for young people aged 16+, developed in partnership with First Star UK.
The qualification is designed to offer an alternative learning pathway that supports social growth, academic readiness, and inclusive development. It is suitable for those engaging with outreach, youth development, or alternative provision settings and aims to increase progression into higher learning or employment.
Structured around five pillars of empowerment, the programme promotes:

- Goal setting and behaviour management

Transcend Level 4 Certificate for Higher Level Teaching Assistants Specialising in Physical Education

This Ofqual‑regulated Level 4 vocational qualification enables HLTAs to specialise in transformational physical education delivery aligned to the national PE curriculum.
Designed to support adult learners (18+) already in HLTA or aspiring to HLTA roles in primary education, enabling the autonomous design and delivery of PE schemes and lessons in line with school strategies.
Developed in collaboration with SPORTIVITY Consultants as technical experts in PE delivery, and validated through consultation with Omnia Foundation and equality and education professionals.
This qualification aligns fully to the national Professional Standards for Higher-Level Teaching Assistants and the National Curriculum for Physical Education. It is the only regulated qualification specifically enabling HLTAs to specialise in PE pedagogy and delivery.
This pathway forms part of the Transcend PE Specialist Teaching Assistant Suite, enabling progression from Level 3 TA PE to this Level 4 HLTA PE certificate.
Suitable for delivery across independent/maintained schools, academy trusts, colleges or training providers meeting Transcend centre recognition conditions.

The Transcend Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is an Ofqual-regulated vocational qualification designed to develop confident, capable teaching professionals across diverse education and training environments.

The Transcend Level 4 Diploma in Learning, Development and Social Empowerment is an Ofqual‑regulated qualification developed exclusively for young people aged 16+ in care, enrolled as First Star Scholars.
This pioneering qualification supports the First Star UK university preparation programme and aims to empower Scholars with the knowledge, skills, behaviours and mindset required to access and succeed in higher education and employment. Scholars are encouraged to be vocal, active, and engaged contributors to society.
Each Scholar undertakes a series of impact-driven learning experiences, including:

- Creative engagement and impact analysis
- Adventure challenge and impact analysis
- Social action intervention and impact analysis
The qualification is delivered in partnership with First Star Scholars UK through St Mary’s University, Twickenham and Winchester University. Developed in collaboration with B11 Education as the technical partner and supported through consultation with the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC) Education Department, ensuring relevance to real‑world governance practice.
This qualification comprises three mandatory units that address the core duties of a governor, driving standards and deployment expectations through structured reflection, professional discussion and evidence-based portfolio.
It has a sector subject area classification of Business Management (15.3), reinforcing its strategic and leadership focus rather than operational or administrative scope.
