Transcend Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention, Mitigation and Management in Fitness Environments

Transcend Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention, Mitigation and Management is an Ofqual regulated vocationally related qualification that sits in sector subject area 1.3 Health and social care. It is uniquely designed to be completed in the context of a specialist pathway that represents the learner’s workplace environment.  

The Fitness Environment pathway is most relevant to gym managers, fitness instructors, and personal trainers. Fitness employers may wish to use this as a high-value development opportunity for their workforce to ensure duty of care through infection control.  

The aim is to enable learners to develop knowledge and skills to control fatal infectious diseases in the context of their own role and scope of practice in the gym or fitness suite where they operate. They will also develop the skills prevent, mitigate the spread, and manage breakouts of the most common infectious diseases found in gyms and fitness suites. 

Successful learners will receive a certificate that evidences the achievement of this qualification in the context this pathway as shown:

The qualification was developed with health and safety education specialists RYNAT and INSPIRATUS as the technical collaborators. This pathway was validated through consultation with Future Fit Training as a leading education provider in the fitness sector.
