Transcend Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention, Mitigation and Management is an Ofqual regulated vocationally related qualification that sits in sector subject area 1.3 Health and social care. It is uniquely designed to be completed in the context of a specialist pathway that represents the learner’s workplace environment.

The Construction and Outdoor Work Environments pathway is particularly relevant to construction managers, technicians, operators, farmers, and farm hands.

Construction companies and owners of businesses that operate in the outdoors may wish to use this as a high-value development opportunity for their workforce to ensure duty of care through infection control.

The aim is to enable learners to develop knowledge and skills to control fatal infectious diseases in the context of their own role and scope of practice on the construction site or outdoor workplace where they operate. They will also develop the skills prevent, mitigate the spread, and manage breakouts of the most common infectious diseases found in construction site or outdoor workplaces.
